Wine Tastings / Guided
Tours of our Wine Cellars
Wine Tastings in the vaulted cellars
We welcome to organise for you a typical wine tasting on our Wine
Estate.
You will be guided through the historical and modern parts of the
wine cellars of Schloss Reinhartshausen and you will acquire the knowledge
of wine-making, the history of the Rheingau and of Schloss Reinhartshausen
itself.
During the guided tour you will be able to taste three to eight wine
specialities.
You will be able to choose from our proposed list of a number of different
theme tastings or you can put together your own wine tasting in accordance
with your wishes.
Tour to the Island Mariannenaue with Wine Tasting
Cross over to the Estate-owned Island Mariannenaue with our ferry
boat named “Preussens Gloria”.
4.5 km long and with a total area of 85 ha, Mariannenaue is the largest
island in the River Rhine and is part of a Nature Reserve.
Here on the island you will have a lasting experience of breathtaking
landscape with a treasure of old trees, vines of distinctive variety,
and an old farm house with attractive historical stables in which
we will offer you the various types of wines from our Wine Estate
for tasting.
Because of its Nature Reserve status, only a limited amount of crossings
to the Island are allowed each year between 1st May and 14th September.
We therefore count on your understanding that, in times of high demand,
we will not be able to consider all applications.
Walks by torch light / vineyard walks
You will be able to learn about the particularities of terroir and
cultivation by taking part in our guided tours around the vineyards
and you will find out about the prime conditions of the Erbacher and
Hattenheimer sites and the characteristics of the “Brunnen”
sites.
Typical wines of these vineyards can be tasted during the walks through
each individual site.
As a special offer, we recommend a romantic walk through the vineyards
at dawn by torch light. Enjoy the spectacular sunset over the hills
of the Rheingau and the lights of the surrounding towns and villages.
