The 2003 vintage: The first “grenades” are filled!

A magnificent 2003 vintage awaits you! The fermented wines of the Island Mariannenaue and the Kabinett, Spätlese and Auslese Rieslings of the Erbacher and Hattenheimer prime vineyards have following ample storing been separated from the yeast by our busy staff and cellar master Günter Kanning and, after filtration, the wines are prepared for bottling in the Spring.

The wines are of extraordinary character, a harmonious acidity structure and distinctive fruitiness. The clearly noticeable minerally flavour of the wines emphasise the versatile characteristics of the “terroir” of Schloss Reinhartshausen. It looks very promising for the premium qualities launched in the late summer.

“Von der Insel Mariannenaue” – this is the new, distinct name of our Island wines. We present you in the following pages with the first wines in new bottles and with new labels from the 2003 vintage onwards. We are of course keen to have your opinion! Why not put together a sample pack of wines for tasting along with your own wishes. You find in the enclosed price list all already available wines of this exceptional vintage.
